I don’t have an NPI number

Not every organization that can use Direct secure messaging has an NPI number.

If you are considered a Covered Entity and provide care directly to patients you are required provide your NPI number during registration.  If you have one but cannot remember is, you can search NPPES here.

If you are a Business Associate or an other healthcare entity then you are not required to provide an NPI number during registration.
